The Weekend Malarkey......The rudest wake up call in Tameside (Probably!)

..with Big Al and Mark (or is it Mark and Big Al?) Either way, expect chaos, as these two are like a married couple and tend to disagree on most things! What make these two great is that they are long time friends off-air, not just two random people thrown together for a radio show!

Expect lots of opinions (thank God we live in a democracy!), great, G R E A T music, and loads of special guests who have included Cannon and Ball, Frank Sidebottom and The Grumbleweeds up to now,  just to name but a few! There are also random prizes being given away, (when they can be bothered! - Ed) which are usually stolen from “Pig Vomit”, as Al affectionately christened the boss!

The Weekend Malarkey is fun filled with features, including “Big Al Knows The North West” where you can try and outwit Big Al’s amazing capability of retaining the most useless knowledge of the area. There is also the “The Cheese Machine” where you get to choose your 3 favourite cheesy songs of all time, “Entertainment News” and “The Weather From Wherever!”. TV Presenter Chloe Everton pops in for breakfast!

Chloe Everton popped into the studio to cook breakfast for Big Al  while Mark was away, we got all the gossip from Shipwrecked & Price Drop TV, while Big Al munched on his bacon butty!

Big Al & Mark meet Cannon & Ball

Our weekend breakfast show managed a fantastic scoop, on Sunday. Not only did Big Al & Mark manage to get comedy legend Bobby Ball on their show, but were also privileged to be invited back stage at Cannon & Ball's recent gig at Bolton Albert Hall.A rare interview was granted for the lads, which was only scuppered by the lack of a minidisc for the recorder! Never mind, it just means that the Weekend Malarkey team will have to go and do it all again next week!
